In my opinion, this is the best location to stay in Barcelona. It is right on the end of the beach district Barcenoletta. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and many restraunts. There is a convienant store 1 minute away that was run by non-spainards so it is open all holidays and doesn't close in the afternoon. There was also a very good coffee shop with food 1 minute away.

The buildings were old and the narrow streets often smelled moldy. The stairway of our building smelled moldy also but the room was clean and had no bad smell. The air conditioner worked well and it had a nice small kitchen with a full size refregerator which is pretty much all we used. 3-4 people could stay there and it would be a little tight, perfect for 2 though. The shower didn't drain very well so we just turned the water off intermittantly during a shower and that worked fine. The combination clothes washer dryer didn't dry very well but it was still a nice conveniance anyway.

The person who opened up for us was on time and very friendly. He spoke English very well and gave us plenty of good advise about the city. The person who met us to leave was on time and spoke english well. He seemed to be in a bad mood but wasn't rude to us. We did leave at 10 am on a Sunday so it may have been an inconveniant time for him.

If I go back to Barcelona this is exactly where I would want to stay because of its location. My wife would be more hesitant because she didn't like the moldy smell in the neighborhood.

The reservation process was easy and contacting the required people by email and phone was easy also.

Nous avons vraiment profité de notre séjour,c t tres agréable en appartement, fort bien équipé, une jolie déco ont s'y sent bien...
quartier agreable au coeur d'un quartier vivant,commerces a proximité...que du bonheur

Appartement très sympatique dans la Barceloneta, bien équipé et surtout très propre et à 2 pas de la mer. Très bon contact avec le propriétaire. Seul soucis: impossible de stationner aux abords et les prix des parkings sont exorbitants (30 euros/jour).

Tres bon contact avec l'agence AZUL BARCELONA,rendez-vous pour la remise des cles sans probleme.Appartement tres fonctionnel dans l'ensemble,situation appreciee,juste 1 suggestion,1 micro-ondes serait pratique!Un petit coucou a David Lakaf pour son amabilite au telephone,et peut-etre 1 prochaine fois pour boire 1 verre ensemble.

Apartment beautiful and had everything we needed. Location fantastic - 30 seconds walk to the beach and restaurants, and good access to rest of Barcelona from the Barceloneta metro station 5 minutes walk away.

Our contact was lovely - friendly and helpful.

The apartment is very well equipped, clean. In a quiet street, 50m to the beach, no traffic noise. It is quite dark as the roads are really narrow. won´t get hot in summer (air-condition as well). No view. Bus connection is good. Taxi will hardly find it.
Fixe exact hour with owner, as he came late (30 Minutes)

Logement très correct propre et bien équipé mais sans lumière en face d'un immeuble en construction.
Quartier populaire et sympathique à 800m de la statio de métro.
Propriétaire charmant, ne parle pas le français
